Philosophy

1. First Baptist Church, a family of baptized believers, is dedicated to fulfilling the commission of Jesus Christ to go into all the world to preach and teach the gospel to everyone.

2. We are committed to an ethnically and socially diverse ministry. This ministry provides coordinated opportunity for every member to successfully exercise spiritual talents and gifts.

3. As a church family with you in mind, we dedicate ourselves to:

A. Increasing our knowledge of God; training our family members to live in genuine obedience to the Word of God.
B. Expanding our ministry to our neighbors in the Delaware Valley.
C. Enlarging our outreach through World-wide missions.
D. Exerting a positive moral influence with our community.
E. Exalting God in both public and private worship.
F. Bearing one another’s burdens.
G. Demonstrating the love of Christ in the Delaware Valley in practical ways.
H. Providing a quality primary and secondary education for our community.
I. Actively participating with the Baptist Bible Fellowship and other like-minded churches without obligation.
J. Maintaining an on-going friendly approach to guest and members.
K. Striving and praying for continued growth in all of the above areas through the local church until the Lord’s return.
